Dr. Arne Thomas
College: Received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame in 1988. He then continued on with his studies entering the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine and earning his Dentertaria of Medicine Doctor (D.M.D.) in 1992. Coaching Career: Arne was an Assistant at Moon in 1989. In 1990 he was named head coach where in his first season won the WPIAL Class AAA Championship. He coached the Tigers through the 1996 season. In 1997 he took an Assistant Coaching position at Robert Morris University. In 2000 Arne returned to the Tigers as the head coach. In 2003 Arne led the Tigers to the Section 5 and WPIAL Class AA Title. Arne has also coached for the Beadling soccer club for 12 years. Arne was named Section Coach of the Year in 1992, 1993, 1996, 2000, 2002, 2003 and was named WPIAL Class AA Coach of the year for the first time in 2003. Career Coaching Record
Playing Career: Arne was one of the first members of the Moon High School Soccer Team. In the teams second season (1983) they won the WPIAL Championship. Arne was an all WPIAL Player in 1983. Arne also played for the Beadling Soccer Club where his team won both the USYSA Snicker State Cup and Regional Tournaments and competed in the National Championship Tournament in 1984. Personal: Arne is married to Tessie and has two daughters; Alexis and Macey.
